ok i am extremely sorry for not updating more often... apologies to my readers =P

announcements:
- so yes if u don't know already, i wrecked my car. see my passengers' blogs for additional details...
- sc has a blog!! woohoo =)), i am having hard time looking for ppl's blog on my links... so i alphabetized them...

today's rant:
remembery a long time ago i posted my theory about luck? well here's yet another series of events confirming it. I think everyone's sick of my laptop story, so today's the last time i am gonna write about it =P it's been a 12-month-long effort... Jan- decided to get a laptop, Feb~Mar- trying to decide to get ultraslim or regular laptop, Apr~May: trying to decide which one to get; June-July: bidding Protege2000 on eBay, Aug~Sept: waited for laptop, got cheated, file fruad claim at every online agencies, got contacted by secret service, got money back, got contacted by NY police department; Nov: try to buy ibmX24 from online store, but was back-ordered, cancelled my order after 3 weeks, order X200 from Dell Small Business; Dec 3rd: found out order was cancelled when checking order status, and that they mysteriously "don't have my email address" to send the cancellation notice even tho they sent the order comfirmation by email...so i called and re-placed my order.
Conclusion: i have super bad luck with online ordering, so i will never order anything over $100 online ever again. (oh and right after i placed the phone order, i check online and printed out an additional $100 rebate, so in effect i got the total discount of $400 from Nov 26, Free shipping, and $100 rebate from Dec. 3rd ... figures)...

Monday 07:35:23 AM EST, Nov 25th
I walked out of graphics cluster, dazed from the lack of windows in weh5336 and the crappy ground collision camera movement i implemented, wanting to go home, but had to park my car to the safe zone on the curved stretch of road behind schenley. I walked out of wean and saw the sunrise ming was talking about. It was a cloudy morning, and the sky surrounding CFA was a gradient grayish red, outlining the leafless branches and buildings. The cold air seemed to revive me: by the time i park my car behind 269 cars parked by weirdos who wakes up at 5 just to get free parking for the week, i was fully awake. But then the sky was soon fully lighted, the sun blinding me even through the thick clouds (my eyes haven't been in broad daylight for quite some time now). I have been turned into a nightcrawler by fc...

Tuesday 04:26:03 AM EST, Nov. 26th
The lack of sleep is finally getting to me, i ceased to understand the words coming out of L's mouth around 3:30AM, so i walked to and out of NwllSmn ... it's still nighttime this time, so that's good, even tho i don't get to see the red sunrise two days in a roll. the deserted street is quite a contrast from the scene 21 hrs ago. anyway, it's kinda interesting that me and a never come home the same time, and sometimes i can't even tell if he's sleeping on his bed or not be4 i pass out on my bed...

Our design is l33t. with 2226 transistors our l33t layout produced the ideal peak speed of 99MHz, placing us in the lowest, 50-100MHz, category with a area of 2.98*10^-16 m^2. My robot model is not as l33t, but still not too shabby ;p i'll post it when i am done with it.

ok well here is the important part!
2. Parking Rules
- never park at handicap ... well unless you stole a handicap permit from someone.
- the harder it is to reach, the less likely it would be ticketed (example is the illegal spots on top of the hill next to skibo)
- all permit parkings are free after 5, and all meter parkings are free after 6.
- if a yellow no parking heavy duty police plastic bag is placed over a meter: if in the morning day, don't park, late afternoon: free parking until 1 am, or your car will by towed by the buggy ppl
- never pay for metered parking.
- during week days, after 7pm you can park anywhere on campus, legal or illegal.

3. Specifics
- list of spots i find relatively safe - outside 1st floor wean, top of hill by Skibo, K permit spots on Forbes, metered slots by Whitfield Hall (#25 on the map), metered or unmarked slots by UC turnaround (not the circle), permits slots down the slop between Doherty and Purnell
- the parking enforcement schedule behind baker/hunt/porter : weekdays 10AM & 5PM, saturday 2PM, BE SURE to park head in! (this rule/schedule cost me $102 by parking there for 30 hrs)

=) ok i just finish reading everyone(on my list)'s most recent posts. such a great way of procrastinating.
and i am gonna procrastinate some more now by posting a blog =)

i really should do what n does by keeping a pen in my pocket and write down stuff on anything i can use. I had some great ideas between the last post and this but i have forgotten all of them now since i didn't write them down...
i finally played tennis yesterday w/ jw, yay =), and i might play with willy later tonite =)
rite now is the time to really decide on the "problem to solve" thing on the left of this page that's been there since ice age... if i wanna goto grad school, i need to start applying now ... UMich sent me somethin' about applying there, so maybe my GRE score is not as bad as it seems =P

anyway, sorry that this post is quite meaningless and did not provide you with enlightening insights about how to achieve world peace by eating with plastic disposable plates, but i need to go write my jap. culture essay on the Japanese Post-War Economic Miracle now... ciao
